Ratchet was born on the planet Cybertron, where he was raised by his parents to become a great medic. He was always fascinated by the intricacies of the human body and how it worked. When the Decepticons attacked Cybertron, Ratchet joined the Autobots to help fight against their enemies. He quickly became known for his exceptional medical skills and was appointed as the Autobots' chief medic.
